my Aspire V5-572p 4284 is stuck on automatic repair loop!! I've tried a few things like restoring several times and then I got into safe mode but nothing worked there either it kept restarting onto the auto repair screen again. I finally got it to pull up advanced options and tried to refresh but that didn't work either, same auto repair screen. Now im going to reset my PC but only if I have to. I do have a USB backup but still had a few files I wanted to keep. I didn't try to reset yet I will wait for a reply I think. If there's anything else I can try without wiping the drive that would be great. Also, does wiping the drive delete windows?? Thank you

    Yes it deletes Windows.

Hit F2 at start and enter Bios.Move to boot tab and see if first boot device is Windows Boot Manager. If it is, change first boot device to your harddrive. Hit F10 and hit yes. reboot and see.

I haven't tried this yet since I was frantically trying to fix this as soon as I could. I saw another option to take out the battery and use on power cord so I've been using it that way. I already restored my laptop but there are still stupid things going on so I'll check out this action and let you know how it goes. Thank you so much for your help!!

If you completed the restore and your laptop is booting into windows and working fine, this is probably not your problem. What kind of "stupid things" are you experiencing?

For one, it got stuck in the auto repair again a few times so I had to power down several times to get it to start again. For two it would work fine in safe mode but continued to give me problems in regular mode. I clean my laptop out every time I use it with Kasperky Internet Suite (paid version, 2015) and Advanced System Care 8 (paid version) and Ccleaner as well as Malwarebytes Pro. I keep my desktop clear of programs I use limited graphics settings, and when I did the restore my background was still intact as well as a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head but there were still some folders on my C drive that I had put there like my antivirus. Isn't a full restore supposed to completely wipe out everything except the programs it came with?

Yes, it should set it like it was when you pulled it out of the box.Is there any chance that you did a Refresh and not a Factory Recovery. A Refresh will leave user installed files and programs.
