Hi,

Im trying to find out some information relating to acer and supply chain management particularly the Inspire S5. I'm tryifibrosis find out where it is manufactured, where the components are manufactured and by what companies and how it is distributed throughout the world.

Also, what were the models been before the Inspiee S5 and what has changed between models?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Good day

Acer parts come from their part centre called Asplex part centre and its distribution space provider is in Poland and they are called ProLogis. If you want to know who manufactures the components, it goes beyong distribution of a finished goog part. meaning. Eg, bluetooth module will be manufactured by atheros, broadcom, etc, audio sound card will be manufactures by realtek, connexant, etc.

Distributors of the finished good product will vary per country. eg, in South Africa, Acer has  distributors i.e Tarsus, Axiz, Rectron and Mustek. So when the product is sold from Acer, it will be distributed to the above ditributors and distributors will then sell to the retail stores, resellers, etc.

Ultrabooks are basically "new" in the market and the Acer S3 was the first Acer Ultrabook to be launched.
