okay so i accessed my switch 10's uefi settings, but therein i am unable to turn off secure boot, simply because the option seems to be locked down and can't be affected with mouse clicks or any button presses.so has acer actually locked down this crucial option or am i a grade-a moron?
if it can be turned off,i would like for someone knowledgeable to help me get linux on this thing-specifically,elementary os,it's based on ubuntu.what i know so far is that the firmware on this thing does not play dice with 64 bit bootloaders,so we are gonna have to use a 32 bit bootloader to install a 64 bit OS.i have already sourced a 32 bit bootloader from the abundant bounties of the interwebs, but the wrench that is secure boot still prevents me from booting up elementary.if indeed i am able to boot up elementary, would things be as simple as "installing" it?a cursory search of the web informs against such an idea, but i can't understand complicated commands,i can follow them, but all that is available is for the transformer book t100.is someone well versed in the linux world present here?please help!!
