my tab 8 W volume is too low, any thoughts?

I have an Acer Iconia tab 8 W and it works very well , except the volume is too low even with an external speaker connected via headset jack..I have only had it three days and an now thing of taking it back as I dont think I canlive with the low volume issue

    I have the same model and can confirm that the system volume is low even at the  max.

    What I can say more is that for the applications the volume is different and actually don't know if it is a problem or something wanted.

     

    I had the volume at 100%, then started an application and...boom... the volume was too high, I had to set it at less than 50%.

     

     

    Could you say if you can see any battery indicator while charging the tablet turned off? Mine appears for some seconds and then there is no way to see it again. I'm going to search the forum and post the answer.

    Mine is exactly the same..I am going to take it back as the volume is so low.

    I've tried Letasoft Sound Booster trial on my W4. While it works well, I'm not willing to pay $20 for it.

     

    There's another program called DFX Audio Enhancer that has more options but also costs more. The free version gives a little bit of boost but it's annoying to use.

    Have you tried turning Dolby and Loudness on ? Go into Control Panel > Sound > (default device)> Level to start and then checkout Advanced.
