I have had my Iconia w7000 for about a year. I have followed all sorts of guidance on recovery but the thing still goes blank without warning, sometimes only displays part of the screen and has a delay when typing (definitely not a virus, fully paid up and scanned). I have previouly followed the recovery info found in the Acer Community. I am now getting the message 'some files are missing. Your Windows installation or recovery software will provide these'..' when I try to refresh. I am now tired of fighting this thing. I stupidly clicked the prompt to upgrade to Windows 8.1, that seems to be a cause of many problems, and I really don't understand the 'partitioning' element mentioned in many posts. I can't remember any recovery discs coming with the machine and wonder whether to just reformat it and sell it. Can anyone advise on the best course of action? I don't remember ever having a device that demanded so much attention!!! I am annoyed and frustrated that I bought the thing in the first place.
