Can you connect multiple PC's to the S231HL without causing harm to the monitor or monitor inputs?

There are switches that you can route to different monitors or use seperate Computers to one monitor. I forget the name of these. This may help.

The switches you are thinking of are called a KVM and they allow the use of a single monitor, keyboard and mouse with two or more PC's. This monitor appears to support the multiple PC to monitor connection but I want to make sure. I cannot find anything either way. Acer Support says it will be fine but wanted user input as well.

Yes, they work with an Acer Monitor, I'm using one right now(23" flat screen). There are numerous switches to fit your specific needs ranging from 2 computers to however many you need. I'm using an older Iogear model (vga connections) however I plan to update to a two port, HDMI, powered unit very soon. I must say when you go over two ports and use different connectors they are rather costly. Do a search on "KVM Switches", if you use at least two or more computers this is a space saver and a great convience.
