ACER ADVANTAGE WARRANTY

Hello guys,

 

I have a question regarding acer advantage warranty. I have bought a laptop before 4 years and in that moment i ve also bought acer advantage warranty. I havent registered a warranty so theoretically i havent used it. How can i check if my warranty is still usable. Im thinking about buying new acer laptop and using it on new one?

You can get your Serial number by opening a command prompt as Administrator and typing "wmic bios get serialnumber".

I m not interested in previous laptop warranty, but i m interested if the 3 year extension warranty that i didnt use (I havent registered extesion on web) is still usable for new one laptop.

I think you're saying you bought a extended warranty 4 yrs ago and never had cause to use it and now you want to transfer it to a new laptop.That's probably not going to work.

But i have never activated warranty over web (for activation you have to send code that comes in package of warranty extension), so theoretically it has never been activated.

Period commences on the date of purchase by You." regardless of when you "Activate" it.

Yep, but that is limited warranty and in our country (Bosnia) it lasts only for year, but acer advanteg is an aditional option that you pay seperately and after buying you need to activate it. Once you have activated it you have an extension of warranty for two more years!.

 

I have checked my laptop on acer site, and it says that warranty was only for a year (I was lucky that nothing gone wrong in past three years with laptop)

To benefit from the warranty, register within 365 days of the date of purchase of the product concerned by the
AcerAdvantage program.

 

The date stamped on the envelope of the registration form will be used as
the date of registration for the program itself.

I havent done that for the first laptop I ve bought, and i know that i dont have an extension of warranty for

that laptop.

 

I was asking if i can use that unused warranty for the new laptop that i m intending to buy.
