I can not power on my icona w510. Do i need to replace battery or ac adapter? Any other recomendations?

    Do you have lights when the power is connected? Have you tried a full power off (30 second press and hold power button) before turning it on normally?

    No lights when the ac adapter conected. The Iconia w510 has no lights indicator for the ac power.... or I do not remeber????

    Yes, I tried a full power off for 30 seconds.

    No success.

    Yes, I can't remember which models have the LED indicator... They light amber when charging and change to blue when fully charged. You are more likelt to have a bad charger than a bad tablet though. If yours had the indicators we'd know for sure. Maybe you could bring it by the store and have them plug in a kn own good charger for a while.

     

    If your charger is good the next most common issue is a bent pin inside the charging port, or a port that's 'spread' itself a bit to cause a loose connection. Least likely is a bad motherboard...

    I hope that is the charger only.

    Thanks for your help and let you know when tested today at local computer shop.

    Local stores in Ottawa, ON do not offer the ac adapted for the Iconia w510.

    I need to order on line and wait a few days for delivery.

    I am still waiting for the AC adapter to be deliver from the ACER online store.
