dual band wifi card for Acer Extensa 5420

I recently upgraded to a Netgear N900 dual band router for my home network.  On my Acer Aspire I used a Netgear USB wireless adapter to take advantage of the 5gHz band  on the N range.  I also have an Acer Extensa 5420-5687 laptop with the original Broadcom card in.  I was hoping to just change the sifi card in the Extensa.  Does anyone know what dual band N range card will work with an Acer Extensa 5420-5687 laptop?  Where can I go to find what is compatible?  I've been searching and it seems that just because a card might physically fit, that doesn't mean it will work.  Any help or direction would REALLY be appreciated!!!
