Half screen has different resolution & colour

I have an Aspire 4739Z-4462. I loaded the DisplayLink display driver for linking the HDMI out to a TV. Ever since I have an unusual splt screen that effects text only. When video is displayed there's no problem but with typical text screens like Google searches or Word documents, the entire right side is lower resolution and color depth. Text virtually unreadble. Uninstalling the DiaplyLink driver didn't solve it and the Intel drivers fail to load and upgrade. It must be a software issue since certain text does appear OK. For example, balloon notifications are low resolution until I hover the mouse over them. Then they appear full color depth and perfectly readable. Has anyone heard of this or can anyone direct me to a source for resetting or upgrading the display drivers?

Uninstall the display adapter on Device manager, right click it and select uninstall, then reboot and check if this fix your issue.
