Switch 10 (64Gb, 1920x1200) - BSOD in standby (sleep) mode

Hi folks,

I have a stable problem with my new Acer Switch 10, 64Gb model with 1920x1200 screen - if I let it go into standby mode (sleep mode) I have about 50/50 chance to find it rebooted when I get back to it - at some point during sleep it falls into a "your computer has ran into a problem and needs to restart". This was from day 1 of usage - I have encountered this already 10 times, therefore I have decided to ALWAYS turn the tablet off completely via shutdown. This is not very convenient. I have checked minidump files with BlueScreenView - error is always the same, check attached screenshots

Should I send it to service? WIndows is preinstalled, all updates including BIOS are installed.

After I have sent my crashdumps to VirtualBox bugtracker I was pointed to a wireless driver for Realtek which seemed to cause the problem. Unfortunately the installed version was the latest provided on acer.com in Support area - v3007.2. I had to search for a newer version of this driver and managed to find one on HP support website. The newer driver (v.3007.6) for Realtek RTL8723BS WiFi SDIO Adapter can be downloaded here - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=ru&lc=ru&dlc=ru&softwareitem=ob-140101-1

Besides fixing my problem it also fixes aother one when sometimes wifi connection becomes limited and no networks are visible anymore until reboot (or sometimes flight mode helped). I recommend all Switch 10 users to update their drivers. It's a shame Acer does not provide updated drivers on the official website.

It is certainly possible that it is a driver failure, but unlikely or else we would have had a lot more threads about it. I would contact Acer for a warranty repair and see what they find.

Sent to service over a month ago, still waiting... But I will post an update when/if I get a repaired/new device

So, I have finally received the device from service, after 1.5 months. They have changed the motherboard (a usual thing).

But the issue is still here. Same BSODs during sleep.

I wonder if VirtualBox may cause these - I use it to run a Linux VM for testing/study.

I will wait for another BSOD, then remove VirtualBox and use the tablet without it for a few days to see if the issue goes away.
