Touchscreen Not Working

My Aspire 5745PG touchscreen is not working.

I made sure touch was enabled in the Touch settings. I tried to calibrate the touch screen, but it doesn't recognize any touches.

I have updated the driver to the video card and the EETI PCAP multitouch digitizer and unchecked the option for the device to be turned off to save power.

I don't see any drivers for the touchscreen on the Acer support site for my laptop.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit, core i3.

Thanks,

Jill

    jillcobb,

I am sorry to hear that the touch is not working and it looks like you have taken a lot of necessary steps to try and fix the problem. I don't see much more troubleshooting steps that you can try outside of reloading the computer back to factory defaults and even then I am not sure that will work. This may be a hardware problem and would recommend contacting  technical support in your region.
