Monitor: xb270h, Incorrect cable. Please use the dual link DVI cable that came with your monitor.

Hey so I just bought this monitor, I'm pretty dissapointed at the moment, my gpu is outputting 120hz, but it has a watermark on the screen saying what I wrote in the title, although I am indeed using the DVI-D Dual Link cable that came with the Acer Predator XB270H monitor.

    Snky,

Do you know the exact monitor model or part number? I am showing that this monitor does not have DVI and that G-sync/144hrz can only be used with the DisplayPort and cable if it came with your monitor. Any additional information you can provide will greatly help.

Have you tried another Dual link DVI cable to see if that resolves the problem?

Sorry for the late reply, yes I've tried a spare DVI-D Dual Link cable, same result, will there ever be a firmware update to simply remove this stupid message? Or allow a button to disable it permanately ( as I wouldn't want to do this every time ).

My pc is displaying 120hz fine, but the watermark is above everything, it's bloody ridiculous that such a thing was even implemented, if this is not fixed, I'll remember which brand to stay away from, and which direction I will encourage my extremely large fanbase to side to also, I've already judged the fact that you did not read my title, where I clearly wrote the model I have, the fact you had to ask me again, means it is pretty useless me even writing this right now.
