Why do I have to pay for something that should have been included?

I have an Aspire S3-391 that I need to restore. The hard drive and SSD have been corrputed and I can not access the Acer restore software. The suppooort site has sent me to the store and after entering the aptop's serial number, I am presented with the option of purchasing a USB recovery stick? This is absurd. A USB recovery stick should have been included with the laptop as part of the purchase. I now have a piece of tech that might as well be a boat anchor. I am not going to spend money for something that should have been provided.

You do know that Acer provided everything except the hardware USB drive, don't you? Acer provided you with the Recovery and the capability to make the USB Recovery drive.

Yes, I knew the system could be recovered through the SSD but I did not know I could create a USB recovery stick. However, that doesn't matter now since eveything is corrupted and I can not access anything. It would be nice if Acer allowed the recovery software to be downloaded for registered users with a registered computer.
