"Custom" disaster?

My dad got this Aspire 5250-0639 for Christmas, and he says it was a complete rebuild. I know nothing of the specs, dxdiag isn't coming up with more than system tab of information (Display still says generic VGA). I was told that the parts inside were the same parts on the sticker, so to list them off:

AMD E450 Dual Core
AMD Radeon HD6320
Acer Nplify Wireless LAN

I downloaded all the drivers that were listed on the official Acer site (to no avail for the wireless driver and video driver), but I'm wondering if there's a program I can use to tell me what parts are inside this thing and who made them?
