A1-810 WiFi Constantly Disconnecting
I bought an A1-810 for my son in August, and we upgraded to 4.4.2 when it was available. Suddenly this morning, my son said there was a message from McAfee that disappeared, and then the WiFi disconnected. Several attempts to reconnect have failed. None of our other devices (three game consoles, BluRay, DVR, smart TV, laptop, desktop, printer, another tablet, and several smartphones) are having trouble, so I've determined the problem is in this tablet. I have rebooted the tablet several times with the WiFi enabled and disabled, and I've also performed two hard resets, once each with the WiFi enabled and disabled. No joy. I've adjusted the settings on the router, and I've also rebooted my router and my cable modem. No joy. The only thing I haven't done is performed a factory reset of the tablet, which I am loathe to do since my son uses the tablet for school and has a lot of bookmarks saved on it. The technical specs on the tablet are: Model A1-810 Android v4.4.2 Kernel v3.4.67 Image vAcer_AV0K0_A1-810_RV0HRC03_WW_GEN1 Build Acer_AV0K0_A1-810_1.055.00_WW_GEN1 Image P/N FM.NLXA0.06K As I have already stated, I have tried just about everything recommended in the FAQ short of a factory reset. I would appreciate a quick response as my son will need it for school in early January.
