power cord not making contact

hi all,

I have an Aspire E1-532-4870 with a power cord issue.  If you stand on your head and hold your tongue just right it might stay connected for a few minutes or a few hours.  It no longer feels 'right' when plug it in so I believe the problem is in the computer not the cord.  Is this something I can fix at home or do I need to send it off for repairs.  This is the 3rd Acer where I have had this problem.  The other two were old enough that I just replaced them but this one is relatively new, though no longer under warranty.  Since I seem to have this problem a lot is there something I might be doing to cause this problem.

Thank you.

Usually what damages the power jack is the plug getting bumped.A hard bump will break it. Repeated softer bumpsw will eventually break it.
