Acer laptop shuts off and won't turn back on

I have an Acer Aspire v3-551g-8454 laptop. Lately it has been shutting itself off after anywhere from 5 to 24 hours of it being turned on. In the past I could simply turn it back on and resume from there. Now, when I try to turn it back on, the power button just flashes a few times and the laptop doesn't turn on. The laptop doesn't feel overly hot anywhere on it's surface.

Any tips?

Thanks

It sounds like a overheating situation. When it gets too hot it will shut itself off to protect the processor. You may have finally fried the processor.

Ok, thanks for the response. Do you think I should try to have the damage assessed and fixed or just buy a new laptop? :\

If you pay someone to fix it, it's not worth it. Put it on eBay as "wont start" and see what.
