Acer Liquid Jade not turning on mobile data

Hey there,

Whenever I turn on my mobile data on my Acer Liquid Jade, it does nothing. It doesn't give any notification (the 3g/2g logo), nothing and I don't have internet either.
I already tried:

Rebooting

Turning roaming on/off

Whenever I try it on my old phone, the mobile data works, so it should be my phone. I also have not set a data limit or anything.

I do remember that at the first boot I didn't select 'Mobile data' in the connection options, but that shouldn't be the problem now, is it?

Kind regards,

Dries

can you do a factory reset?

please back all your data before the factory reset.

    settings/backup&reset/factory data reset

this just to start with fresh OS and enable mobile data from the beginning.

Thanks for the reply, but nope, that didn't help.

I'm still having the exact same problems.

    Ok.

    what's your network provider?

can you please check if any APN is available?

My provider is Mobile Vikings, which uses the Base network.
Yes, I have 3 APNs, I even tried creating a new one, following a guide I found online. APNs are "BAse Mobile Internet [PC]", "Base Mobile Internet" and "Base MMS".

I tried the first 2, to no avail.

if you have a friend with a working data plan from another provider, please check if Jade can connect, if not probably is some hardware issue.

I fixed it yesterday. I seems I had to create a custom APN with my provider's information. The phone didn't do it by himself, never knew this could be the problem.

    Thanks for your help anyway!
