"Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped."

I have an Acer Iconia A200 tablet. Yesterday when I picked it up for the first time in the day, it was frozen on the Iconia title startup screen. After much work I finally was able to get it to boot up. But since then I have been getting multiple errors. Errors that are saying that certain services has stopped and I have to OK to get thru error.  Regardless of which app I try to go into, it won't start.  One of the more constant errors is, "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." I also often get "Unfortunately, Google Play services has stopped."

The last thing I did before the end of the night before, was pay for and play a game from the Google Play Store.

I had noticed in the few days previous to this problem, the tablet would often hang and I would have to do a hard reboot.

I've been fighting this so long, I'm willing to do a factory reset if that is my only option.  However, I want to be sure that all of my apps, and all of my data has been backed up.  It is set to be backed up to Google but how do I know what it has backed up?  I really don't want to loose everything I have stored in this tablet.

Contacts and application will be restored (not applications settings), pictures and other files (if not backuped on Google drive) will be deleted.

so if you can connect your tablet to a PC before doing a factory reset, will be a good thing; then do the factory reset.

I have the laptop hard wired t the tablet. But when I browse to the tablet, it appears as an empty file.

ok, it's worst than i expected.

if you have a microSD, try to backup to the microSD then take it off and do the factory reset.
