My Aspire 5260-0639 with Windows 7 is not working. After rebooting because Windows 7 was dragging in speed, it came back with the prompt, Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of Windows is not genuine. The laptop was bought new and through an online retailer. I've tried to restore it through several options but I can't access any folders and with the CMD command, I can't access the administrator. I am in need of assistance with this. Can anyone help? In the CMD command, it will not go beyond the Windows/User prompt and the SEIU 4 is no good either.

if you don't mind to loose your personal data, you can try a recovery/re-install.

check on BIOS (press F2 at boot) to have D2D enabled then save and exit, reboot pressing ALT+F10 to enable Acer recovery and re-install OS to factory default.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

I made a gallant try with the method you recommended but alas, it did not work. The DSD was already enabled and the Alt+F10 would not reboot the system. So,I'm still looking for a solution to date. Thanks.
