Internal DVD Drive Replacement

Hi i have an Acer Aspire E1-570-6612 laptop and would like to know if anyone has ever repaced the dummy dvd drive with a real one i know it has a slot for one but can't seem to find one anywhere if anyone has ever replaced it please let me know how and where i can get one.

33.M8EN2.003 - BRACKET ODD

42.M8EN2.002 - BEZEL ODD

KO.00807.010 - DVD/R/RW SMULTI 9MM TRAY 8X

KO.0080D.009 - DVD/R/RW SMULTI 9MM TRAY 8X

 

You can request a quote and place an order from your Acer store in using the customer service form.

In the form:

1- You select in "Please Select a Subject: Other"

2- In "Describe the Problem:", you indicate the S/N of the laptop.

3- Example:

    "Price request for the following spare parts:

     - P/N, description

     - Etc"

 

You'll receive a quote by mail (pdf document). You can also phone them.

There are versions of the E1-570 that come with a DVD drive so, you should be ok. The hardest part is the bracket that secures the drive to the screw you have to take out to remove the dummy.
