Acer Aspire V3 771G - Windows 8.1 - 17months old

DVDRW - MAT**bleep**A BD-CMB UJ141AF

I'm unable to burn dvd's I've tried several differant typs of disc but to no avail.

It reads DVD's, Readsand  Writes CD's

I am at a loss

The errors I get are:-

WIndows Explorer: The disc write speed is to high or to low.

Nero: Power: Power calibration error

I've unistalled and reinstalled the driver, checked for updates and now run out of ideas.

Can you try this free DVD/CD writer software?

    Have you tried different supports?

I tried everything other than asking the great man above to take a look, its a nightmare, wish I could just get confirmation that the drive is knackerd and I'll go buy a new bettter one. Even Acer cant arsed to reply to emails, I've had Acer laptops for years, this is the only one I have ever had problems with, 10 months old and the hdd needed to be replaced, an now the bloody optical drive, getting any anwser from Acer (othr than Paying top dollar for owt) would be nice...................

at the end i think that is a calibration issue, so an hardware problem, you need to change the DVD writer.
