Desperate for help with new Acer E15 laptop

It has Windows 8.1, which I hate for the time being since I loved Windows 7.  After 2 days of fighting with it, most problems have been at least abated except for these 2:

A)  It seems the ab stuff - docs etc - is only necessary for those with multiple devices.  I'm just a little old lady with ONE laptop computer and ONE landline telephone.  I neither have nor want 'other devices' including a cell phone.

So the question becomes:  other than losing multi-device connectivity, will any other problems arise from uninstalling those 'ab' things?  I like a clean desktop and even though the machine has plenty of space, I don't like stuff on it that I don't want.

B)  When it comes to uninstalling stuff:  When I click to uninstall things I don't want from the start page list of apps, for instance, all it does is take me to Programs and Features - WHERE NO APPS ARE LISTED!!!  How the aitch do I entirely remove those cluttery apps I don't want?

C)  I was horrified when I discovered Windows 8.1 wouldn't let me install RevoUninstaller!  What's a good add-on uninstaller program WILL 8.1 let me install?  I certainly don't care for their Programs and Features.

Sorry I'm so cranky right now.  It took the better part of 2 days to even be able to stabilize my wi-fi connection since I have to piggyback a nearby church's signal (with permission) so I could even get on here to ask how to fix stuff!  When purchasing the Acer I failed to notice it had no DVD drive, so it was hell trying to install my long-range signal booster.  Not the sort of thing to sweeten my disposition.

But if someone will kindly answer those 3 questions, I'll be grateful and a whole lot happier, thanks!

    A) yes, you can uninstall without issues.

    B) if you press windows key logo + x then choose Program and features, the list is empty?

if so you need to wait a little the first time, if you , instead, mean that some apps are not listed, can you post an example?

hint: do you know that you can boot directly to the desktop, instead of metro interface?

press windows key logo + s , type taskbar , when taskbar options windows appears, click on navigation tab, In the section labeled “Start screen,” check the boxes labeled “When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to the desktop instead of start,” and “Show my desktop background on Start.”
click apply, OK, then reboot your laptop.

    C) revo uninstaller has windows 8 support, so it's strange that you can't install, have you downloaded the latest version from their website?

    I'm not an Acer employee.
