Getting my drivers right for windows 8.1

I have bought and installed windows 8.1, after failing to upgrade my windows 8 to 8.1 -

It was a fresh copy and i installed acer's drivers one by one and now everything seems ok. However, some icons are looking funny (low res) on my desktop, tool bar.. Which got me thinking that some drivers might not be perfectly working.

Is there any way i can cross check if all of my drivers are acer's latest and are functional?

thanks,

    Windows logo key + x
    click on Device manager

if Yellow exclamation mark is present
    double click on it
    choose "Details" tab
    from dropdown menu, select HardwareIDs
click on the first value and copy/paste it here

    Hello Iron FLy,

thanks for your reply. I don't have any yellow explanation marks. However:

    1. There are some weird things like my processor shows my driver 4 times (Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 - 4500...)

    2. there are icons that are appearing in low resolution (mainly shortcuts in different forms -  ex. the ones that appear when you prss on that arrow next to the language bar)

I was hoping for a utility from Acer than can scan through and see if there is anything missing. Any more tips

    thanks!

4 entry on CPU is ok, since you have a quad core. Smiley Happy

    about low resolution icons:

right click on desktop, choose screen resolution, can you report your screen resolution?

please report your Acer model too.

    Hey!

The resolution is as recommended at 2560 x 1440 -

PS, it is not all the icons - some of them. I might be just OCD'ing here buddy.

I mean the bluetooth icon looks ok, the Avast, Box and other third parties look fuzzy.

To be honest, as long as this is not reflective of a drive (vga or something) issue then i am fine with it Smiley Happy i just have to live with fuzzy icons which i see once a week Smiley Tongue

Probably that icons aren't high resolution.

you can try to make it smaller if you want, at least the desktop icons, press left CTRL button and use the scroll function on touchpad.
