How do I recalibrate the battery on my notebook or netbook?

If your notebook or netbook  unexpectedly goes into Sleep mode while you are using it but the battery charge is not low, you may need to recalibrate your battery. You should also recalibrate the battery periodically to maintain the accuracy of the battery gauge.
Follow these steps to recalibrate the battery.

Connect your computer to AC power and let the battery charge completely.
Disconnect the AC power and restart your computer.
Completely discharge the battery.
After the battery is completely drained, reconnect your computer to AC power.
Charge the battery completely until the battery status indicator indicates that the charging has completed.
If you are still experiencing a problem, please contact Acer support for further assistance.

When the battery charge is low the orange light will blink slowly. When the battery charge level is critically low (less than 3%) the orange light will blink rapidly.

If the battery is not charging with the AC Adapter, perform a power reset:

Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter or the power cord from the computer.
Press and hold down the power button on the computer down for 30 seconds and then release the button.
Plug in the AC adapter or power cord again, reinsert the battery, and power on the computer.
If the problem persists, the AC adapter may be faulty or the computer may need service, please contact Acer support.

ur welcome it sounds like u need to go into your bios and refurb ur battery from the bios its takes it awhile when u do this

also let me know if it works it might be that ur battery might of gone bad to ok

im sorry....its not on the sreen of the notebook...its on the body of the notebook, that near to the keyboard..
