It has an Ethernet port, but I cannot find the submenu to enter the info I have from my IP. billsey suggested I input it as a "STATIC IP". If I could find out where that is found, I'd try it.

I apologize for the long wait for a reply on this subject. I tested this system and did found that the native Android OS (4.0.4) does not have an advance option for the Ethernet port that would provide you with the options you would need. It does look like there may be some android apps available that may assist with setting up a static IP.

    Andy, try this:

    system settings/wireless & network/

    turn OFF wifi

    connect LAN cable

    Turn ON ethernet

tap on ethernet label (not the switch)

now i need a screenshot of this page, since i don't own the device but i can help you, since i know android.

if it has a touchscreen, simply keep 3-4 seconds tapped.

if it works only with mouse, right button and simple click.

I'm using a mouse. Nothing happens when I right click. Do I need updated drivers perhaps or something else?

On your last image, on the bottom left i see 4 icons.

    back, home, multithread,......

    the last one?

can you try to do a long left mouse click over IP address?

can you try to do a long left mouse click over multithread icon on ethernet settings?

Thank you for taking the time & interest to get me an answer. I'll let ironfly know, he has been trying to help me & has gone beyond what I could have expected, I feel ironfly deserves an award for extended effort if not much more.

I guess this is the message I need to mark as the "Solution". It hasn't yet solved what I'm trying to do. But it IS a solid answer to my query.

I'll check out the suggested links & see where they lead me.

Thank you & special thanks to ironfly,

    Andy
