Acer Iconia A3-A10: Is it possible to downgrade to Android Jelly Bean?

Hi,

I've upgraded my Acer Iconia A3-A10 from Jelly Bean to Kitkat some days ago. Not happy at all. Many applications running too slow, wifi not working well, etc.

I've done a factory data reset but my tablet stays on Android 4.4.2. Is this normal?

Is it possible to downgrade to Jelly Bean, the version that came with my tablet? How to do it?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Factory reset in Android, does not get the unit back to factory installed OS, it reset the same version to defaults, thats quite normal,. But if you'd like to get back to JB, yes that's possible provided you find the image @ acer support, as of now the image is not available, may be you need to wait, or could contact support for assistance, Cheers,.

You can't using stock updates or images from Acer.

    Are you 100% sure?

as far as i know, the system images from Acer support website are not complete system images and they have a check on build.prop to the build version installed on the device, so you can't revert back to a previous version for security reasons.

(that was possible only on certain Acer smartphones in the past, totaly dismissed practice in the last 2 years)

Also notice that KK and JB have different bootloaders and flashing back without proper tools, can highly brick a device, since you can't mix bootloaders and systems.
