Hi,

Referenced Model has the 32-bit Vista OS.

Q: Is there a WLAN driver for this rig, or does the hardware NOT even support a wi-fi network?

. . .  my research indicates hard-wired ethernet is the only network setup out-of-the-box.

thx

You may run the hardware vendor utiliy and check if your computer is shipped with internal wireless adapter  Hardware vendor utility
You can also check in device manger > under network adapter.

If there is no internal wireless adapter you may use a USB wireless adapter to activate wireless conenctivity.
You need to just plug your adapter into a USB port on a system that needs wireless connectivity
