Problem with recovery

I had to restore my Acer Aspire R7 after owning it for only 5 months.  I bought the $40.00 eRecovery USB device.I tried to install Windows 8.1 last night, and I got the blue screen again.  I am again trying to use the eRecovery USB device I bought from Acer.  I can get past the BIOS to where I get to a Window that says:"X:\\windows\system32\cmd.exe" and I see commands scrolling down.  But after a while it stops and the machine seems to lock up at the command "Extracting FD.NLDA0.01N_3-3.ISO"  Can anyone help me?

BSOD and problem extracting an .iso image, are not good sign for your laptop.

    i suspect some ram issues.

R7 doesn't have the ALT+F10 recovery at boot?

    I'm not an Acer employee.
