Acer Iconia W4 - No internet connection/no network

This happened when I reset my tablet after another freezing session. The wifi in the room is accessible through my phone and another computer, but my tablet is na ot even able to show any available connections. Troubleshooting leads to "Install a driver for your network adapter", but no driver can be found. Several google results told me to check Network and Sharing center, where I should click "Change adapter settings". This leads me to Network Connections, where the folder is completely empty. I'm about to pull my hair out, please, someone be of assistance.

Just install DriverMax and download new drivers for wifi network...

" OBS " Only drivers for network, not other drivers, or else maybe it can cause to issue !!

    Good luck.

When you go to Device Manager>Network Adapters is your device present ? If so, double click on it.  Is it running ("working properly") or does it have a code 10 or code 31 or ??? error ?

If it has an error then select Driver and  Uninstall. Do not check the box to delete.

Reboot and let it discover the device. Is it working now ? If not what is the error code ?
