Unable to recover OS C720 (unexpected error message)

Working with a newish (less than a month old) ACER c720 chromebook. recieved the notification that the Chrome OS is missing or damaged. please insert recovery USB stick ect.

 

Downloaded the recovery utility and created the disk for my chromebook. (I have used this on another chromebook to reinstall a fresh copy to the chromebook and it worked successfully)

 

Installed it and got an error message (unexpected error occoured...

 

I went back to the recovery utility to ensure that I had a fresh copy just in case it was out of date. same error message. 

 

What is the next step?

Is my hard drive toast?

 

Its still under warranty so I cant do anything internally.

Sorry that the CB is not working, based on your Info, it seems to be an issue with the HDD or the HDD Connectors, the best is to contact Acer for a Warranty repair,.
