Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen
I have an Acer Aspire M5620 with Windows Vista 32-bit and just bought a 3 TB hard drive from Western Digital (WD30EFRX) but when formatting it Windows said that it was only 746 GB so that is all I have now.
Prior to buying this HDD I was told that there are no limitations in hard drive sizes for todays computers.
Does anyone know what the problem can be?
Could it be the BIOS that sets the limitation?
This is my BIOS information:
MB Manufacturer Name: ACER
Main Board ID: G33T-AM
SMBIOS Version: 2.5.0
System BIOS Version: R01-A0
BIOS Release Date: 07/21/07
I found a BIOS upgrade R01-B2 from 12/09/2008 but after reading the warning I am not sure if I dare to upgrade...
Hoping someone can help me.
