Shutdown, not overheating

Hey. Today my laptop has shutdown by itself while playing WoW, twice. I'm in a cool environment and my laptop doesn't get hot on the bottom at all. I only use my laptop for WoW and the internet, that's it. I don't download anything that's not needed

When I went to the Acer website and typed in my model and looked at the Drivers, Documents ect. and went to "Latest" it seems I have stuff there. Am I supposed to download all those things listed, even if it says it's from 2011.. Pretty sure I got my laptop early 2012.

I'm doing a full scan with AVG and Malwarebytes to see if I have a virus. I'm not great with computers. Just the common stuff, nothing about coding or even changing stuff. I never cleaned my fan yet because as I said I'm terrible and when I looked to see how it was done it seems my Acer 5560 is complex. I have to remove basically everything just to get to the fan Could it be the fan, as I said I'm not overheating or anything.

I notice there's a BIOS 2013 download that I don't believe I've done. Do I just click "Download" and that's it, or do I have to delete and move stuff around?

Edit: If I do a "factory restore" on my Acer 5560g would I need a Windows 7 CD key?. When I first bought my(new) laptop, the people set it up for me. I don't mind a restore, but I don't want to do it then find out I need to buy Windows 7 again. I don't have the laptop recipt or anything anymore. If I don't need a key, how do I do a factory restart?

Your problem is probably the graphics GPU getting hot.Get a cooling pad if blowing it out doesn't help.

Any drivers that are newer than yours should be installed. Especially the graphics driver if your having graphics problem.

Get a can of air, shut down the laptop and use the tube on the can and blow into the air intakes and exaust grills. You will probably see dust come out.

The only "2013" i see in Bios downloads is a firmware update for Western Digital HDDs. If yours is not WD, you don't need it.

If you do, download to desktop and install it.

A factory restore will reinstall everything and activate windows. The key is in the recovery.

As philetus pointed out, it most probably is a temperature problem. Do you see any message or code when your computer shuts down or when you boot it up again? Can you hear any beeping coming from the motherboard? Did your laptop shut down drastically or there was a shut-down screen?

I would check the temperatures of the CPU and GPU while gaming to make sure they are well within the recommended range that is described in your manual. If you have your latest OS updates, you shouldn't have problems with your drivers so I doubt that is the reason.

I would also try what philetus suggested with the compressed air and for the future, I would suggest you keep the laptop on a flat, hard surface where it can be cooled adequately. Many people experience this problem while laying their laptop on blankets or other places where it can't get proper cooling.
