Acer S231HL Monitor Issues

Hey everyone,

 

I recently sent in my S231HL monitor into the warranty center for repairs. The monitor is about 3 years old, and is in the last month of its warranty. I explained that every time I turn the monitor on, it turns back off. It does this 3-5 times every time I try to turn the monitor on, before eventually staying on.

 

I have tried it on a different computer, I have tried a different AC adapter, power cord, HDMI cable, tried using the DVI or VGA ports instead, nothing changes.

 

They said they did not find the issue noted and returned the monitor back to me. I spent 65$ to ship it there safely so I was a little upset.

 

I got the monitor back, set it back up, and guess what it does the exact same thing. I took a video of if this time.

It does this literally every time I turn it on.

 

I spoke with an Acer live chat rep and they just want me to send it in again. I am hesitant to do this because they did nothing about it the first time.

 

Anybody have any thoughts?

Quick update again,

 

I came home today, turned the monitor on and it did what it does for the longest time I've seen it now. I took another video here:

What is going on

 

Out of curiosity, do acer techs or service reps use this forum or is only other acer users?
