During startup hold down the power and volume button when off and do not release until the BIOS menu appears. Boot order will be one of the selections.

No need to change until you actually have to do a recovery.

Thankyou both, Padgett and Billsey.  Would it do any harm to change it now just in case it wouldn't boot up at all at a later date?  Then maybe I could boot it with the recovery drive?

    Thanks both again Muriel

I wouldn't bother, if it is bad enough that you can't get into the boot selection menu, it's not going to boot at all. Not something that typically happens, you'd have to fry the motherboard to get those symptoms. Just try and refrain from dropping it in the fish tank. Smiley Happy
