I was a good user.... I created my recovery disks for my daughter's acer timeline.  Wanted to restore to factory defaults, but could not use the D2D option, so opted for the disks instead.  Changed bios to boot from the disk, get through to step 5 where it is copying files.. and I get the message that there is not enough space on the disk.. ????  I am opting for the full reset, so everything should be wiped out anyway!  Now.. no matter how I set the BIOS... I can't get anywhere except from my recovery disk to that exact spot.  I get nothing.. can't F8, no Alt F10.. nothing.   I am willing to purchase the erecovery disk if that will fix my problem.  Staples wants to charge me $130 to reload the OS.. well.. in this day and age, not worth it.  Pretty disgusted about the whole thing honestly...  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    Hi tl88,

I would look at reformatting the HDD and then trying. It could be that something is causing the recovery to take place on a smaller partition.

    Hope this helps,

    Cory

Hi Cory, thank you for the reply - not sure how to do this, but will research and give it a shot!

Cory, I can find how to format if I can get to a command prompt or from Windows itself.. but If I can't get anywhere past the inital boot, and it stalls on the Windows recovery disk, how can I go about reformatting??  Any guidance is appreciated!
