I purchased the VX2631-UR12 Desktop last week and added a 4GB stick of ram beore my first power-up.  It already had a 4GB stick from the factory.  When I power-up the system, it goes directly to a bios-looking screen.  It shows that I have 8GB of "OK" memory.  It gives me 2 choices: Go to the Bios settings or start Windows.  I choose start Windows and the computer works perfectly!  Why doesn't it go directly to Windows (7) and just bypass the "choice" screen? Has Intel 4440 & 500GB HD.

Thanks, Dennis

next time go to BIOS settings then save and exit BIOS changes.

check if the next boot will be to windows 7, instead of ram check.

I tried that previously, but still goes to the "choice screen. Thanks.

Have you tried to boot to BIOS pressing DEL, then find something like "load defaults" or "load optimal settings" on BIOS?

    choose that, save and exit

    retry
