DRIVERS INSTALLATION FAILURE

Hi, I would be extremely greatful if someone could help me.

I've upgraded my laptop to W7 Home premium, sp1, and cannot connect my B1-711 via usb cable anymore.

The drivers' installation interrupts (USB_aCER_2.0_a44k_a) asking to connect the device, which is already connected.

I've activated the usb port debug, on the developers' menu.

The B1-711 has been updated to Android 4.4.2.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

G.

    Where you find that drivers?

i can't find it on the acer support website.

about ADB drivers, you can try to use the android google drivers.

you told: I've activated the usb port debug, on the developers' menu.

this means you need ADB drivers, if you don't know what's an ADB interface, you don't need this setting enabled. Smiley Happy

by the way, i can't find any drivers:

    http://www.acer.it/ac/it/IT/content/drivers/4890;-;B1-711

    http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers/4890;-;B1-711

    please use only USB2.0 port

if you connect the B1 to your laptop and check on device manager, there's any yellow exclamation mark?

Where you see the Yellow exclamation mark, double click it, choose "Details" tab, from the dropdown menu choose "HardwareIDs", click the first string and copy/paste it here.

    Answer ✓

i can't find anything with that ID.

    so, few things to check/try:

    1) have you tried to connect to your PC with another cable and on another USB port?

    2) have you tried to install this drivers?:

    http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/USB/USB_Acer_1.0_A41J_A.zip?acerid=635064301494213830&Step1=TABLET&Step2=ICONIA%20B&Step3=B1-710&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

    3) have you tried to do a factory data reset on your tablet?

please backup your personal data, since it will erased to factory (still 4.4.2)

    settings/backup&reset/factory data reset

I'll try with your drivers, and the other suggestions,  however the bizarre issue is that I downloaded toe original drivers from ACES website for W7, and they do not work, while months ago they were ok.

Frankly, resetting to factory state is the latest remedy I would like to pursue.

    I let you know ... ;-))

    Many thanks.

    Jesus, your drivers worked!

    Now it's perfect!

For your reference, in COMPUTER/MANAGEMENT/DEVICES MANAGEMENT the yellow triangle on the B1-711 tablet icon remained, but a new item appeared: il ts" Android interface / Composite ADB interface"

How and where can I comment on your great help, for your maximum benefit?

    Thanks a lot, really.

    Best.
