Updated A1-810 to KitKat (Acer.AV0K0.A1-810.RV0BRC05.PA.CA) and have boot loop

I just downloaded and installed the latest kitkat release from Acer support today:

(Which, apparently, was just released last week) and after placing the zip file onto my SD Card and installing it via the recovery menu, now my system is stuck in a reboot loop and won't load in Android, and I cannot downgrade back to a previous version without getting a getprop("ro.product.name") == "a1-810_pa_ca" error and having it fail.

Any suggestions on how to get this unit up and running again? I will be calling Acer tomorrow to inquire, since this update was only released a week ago, so they'd better be willing to shed some light on this situation and hopefully get it resolved for me.

After speaking with Acer support, trying to re-flash their image multiple times, and having them tell me that my year old tablet (with warranty ending this past July) would cost $110 to fix (due to THEIR software update), and after being advised NOT TO by their support team, I decided to try and flash the unit myself with a different bootloader, and managed to resolve the problem Smiley Happy

are you able to boot to recovery?

do a wipe cache and re -apply the update if possible.

if not....as you told, contact the Acer support.

Yes, able to boot into recovery. Have tried wiping cache and restarting, still get stuck in a reboot loop.

Tried wiping cache, reflashing the latest zip after formatting my sd card again, install finishes without issues, still get stuck in reboot loop.

What a joke. Contacted support and the short version of the story is that I'm **bleep** out of luck, for updating my YEAR OLD tablet to the LATEST software released just last week, and having IT render my A1-810 USELESS.

All Acer needs to do is test that shotty build they released and the same issue should present itself. Instead, they want me to PAY to send the unit in for repair. I'd rather PAY others and inform them NEVER to purchase ANYTHING from a terrible company like Acer.

Are you sure that the PA.CA build was appropriate or your locale? If it doesn't match the tablet you'ld get these symptoms.

Yes, because I tried flashing other locals to see if that was indeed the case, but the recovery image will perform a check against the build.prop of the tablet and fail installation if it doesn't match.
