My Aspire came with 64 bit windows 7.

The computer works fine but has developed some quirks.

i.e. Some new applications require .net framework 4.5 and this will not install.

Attemps to install .net framework online and with a standalone installer fail with a cannot install message.

I have lots of programs on this computer and it is working ok but there are some glitches in the OS like the above problem.

I have the restore DVD's but I don't want to start over with a blank computer.

I would like to just repair windows 7.

Is this possible with just the restore disks?

How would I do this windows repair but leave all the programs and data on the computer?

Thanks

Yes, you can go look at the options in Acer eRecovery Management (Start>Programs>Acer) , before commiting. Your saved files are placed in a C:/Backup file, but I had other hidden files like, Google Toolbar that hitched a ride on my Backup. The Backup was findable at any rate. But If I do it again, I think I'll use the Acer Backup Manager and archive to disk before attempting a complete Factory eRecovery. But your machine may be cleaner than mine...

Alternately, you could attempt to repair your previous .NET Framework files--I've heard this helps with the 4.5 install--

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the article given below

Try to Download .net framework 4.5 manually, refer to link below:

Try installing .net 4.0 first.Sometimes that works on Windows 7
