ACER A500 freezes at acer logo screen

Acer Iconia A500  in Athens Greece. I bought this about 2 yrs ago and it froze on boot at the acer logo, just a few days after I bought it. I sent it to the local Acer representative and they had to replace the motherboard. Today, Oct 29, 2014, it did it again. It froze on the acer logo and there is nothing I can do. Hard reset or Volume (-) + power button do not work. It get to the point where it displays a laying down android image with a red triangle and an exclamation mark in it. And that's it. It it dead. From my looking around on the Internet, it seems hundred, maybe thousand of people with the same model (A500) have the same problem and Acer does nothing to remedy the problem.

    For what it is worth I have had my A500 for quite some time and it is out of warranty but is still working. I know it is frustrating that your product failed again, but it looks like Acer honored the warranty the first time this happen and it has worked ever since. 

     

    I would recommend updating to a newer model as the A500 is not compatible with Kitka, the newest Android OS. The other option would be to contact Acer to see what options you have as it sounds like you need repair.
