Hey!

Yesterday i bought a new monitor for my self and i got it today. I live in Sweden so i bought the display in a Swedish online store (CDON).

I dont know alot about monitors but i think that the glow and the backbleed is very intense. Is this normal for this kind of panels and monitors?

Should i sent it in for repairs? What do you think people?

    Thanks for your reply.
I moved them away for a while but it doesn't help or improve the picture
  • Hi,

That may take a while, it normally happens because of the Magnetic filed,. you cn also turn off the Monitor unplug all the cables INCLUDING THE POWER CABLE, & then hold the Power button for about 30sec to a Min & check, that should help, if still the same contact support

Hey and thanks for your reply!

This procedure didn't work. My speakers are shielded so that's not a problem but i tested it anyway.

I've made a thread in big swedish forum regarding this problem and they said that there was no backbleeding on this display. They say that ips-glow is the main problem. What do you think?

yes it's IPS glow, it's normal on certain percentage or view angles.

the picture point of view can have make it worse, does facing the monitor with glow decrease?

if not, i would contact the seller and ask for a change, yours seems a little too much over the standards.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

IPS bleed is typical for any monitor that is IPS. Follow the recommeded "break in period" that is in your manual. After the break in period most backlighting glow is decreased by quite a bit.

Some backlight is normal for IPS monitors. Your picture looks like it is abnormal for a monitor that has been through the break in period. Follow the process for break in time frame and see if it improves.

    Hope this helps.
