Acer Iconia W510 will not switch on at all - Cloverview driver

My Acer Iconia W510 will not switch on at all, it's been like this for about 2 months now.

I've tried every single power reset you can think of, Googled it about a million times and every discussion I find seems to come back with 'hold the power and volume button for 30 seconds and it'll switch on' which seems to work for everyone but me.

The most annoying thing is the Windows button still vibrates when you push it but I'm getting absolutely nothing on the screen. When plugged in the charging light is mostly red, sometimes it goes blue, but still nothing & of course, there's no disc tray or slot to insert any discs so that rules out any solution in that area.

I've tried plugging it in to the computer to try and spark it back into life and it comes up with the below

It tries to install the device as it does with every device that is plugged in and comes back with this - 'CLOVERVIEW doesn't have a driver' - I've looked online but can't seem to find a driver that will allow this to run thorugh the computer

If anyone has any information, a link to the correct driver or any help they can offer at all I'll be extremely grateful as I've complerely run out of ideas. I work in IT and this thing has me stumped, the only thing it could be is a dispay problem with the tablet itself which needs repairing inside.

I appreciate your time, thank you

Sounds like it is going to sleep but not turning off. Is the power button set to "sleep" or "shut down" ? My only thought if nothing else works is to set it to never turn the HDD or display off on battery, unplug, and just leave it on until a shuttown is forced by low battery. May take a day. Then see what happens. Is kind of extreme but sounds like you have tried eveything else & you can't just remove the battery on a W510.

I thought the sleep thing may have been the case although, I probably should have mentioned this in the original post but when I unplug the charger both the power lights go off (one on the keyboard one on the screen) so surely if it was in sleep mode one of the lights would either stay on or atleast flash? The Windows button still vibrates though. So right now, I've disconnected the charger and USB, neither of the on/charging lights are on but the windows button on the front of the screen still vibrates when I touch it. It's connected to nothing at all and is showing no signs of life apart from the windows button vibrating. Very frustrating. I appreciate you getting back to me and appreciate any further help you can give, thank you.

If the Windows button vibrates the OS is not shut completely down, typical when the power button is set for sleep. Try holding the power button for a long time, to force a full power off. Then use the button to turn it on as normal and see if it boots up correctly. If you still get a blank screen you may be looking at an actual display hardware issue, such as a loose cable or bad display.

Can check that with an HDMI connection. My devices default to both when it senses an HDMI device.
