Booting up and InsydeH20 SetupUtility

Hello,

First time poster here with a problem with my Aspire One 722 notebook. Recently, when in use it suddenly reverted to a black page informing, amongst other things,: No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key.

The only place I can navigate to from this page is the InsydeH20 SetUtility. No amount of fiddling from here resolves the issue.

From research, my guess is I have a corrupted file somewhere (a lot updates were recently installed) and to boot up successfully I need an external dvd drive and a windows disc - neither of which I have!

Can anyone confirm my amateur diagnosis or suggest a solution?

Many thanks.

if you Aspire has windows 7, you can download (google search) an official .iso and burn it to an USB pen (if you have another pc) and make a system repair and see if this will work.

By the way, no bootable device, can be also an HDD problem, that's even worst.
