Bios Problem

Hello Acer community

I think I just botched my Laptop (Aspire V7 582PG)

Backstory first:
I decided to buy a Samsung 840 Evo with this laptop
Built out the untouched 2,5 drive (still untouched and stored away safely) and replaced it with the SSD
Installed a fresh copy of Win 8 on it, with the help of a bootable thumb drive.
Also made the free upgrade to Win 8.1
Now everything worked fine and dandy, until I just decided an hour ago, to update my BIOS (2.11) to 2.28A
The installer went through, but now I am greeted by the message, that there is no bootable device detected.
Not even my thumbdrive is detected in the boot manager screen.
I'm basically in an endless reboot loop.
Does this mean I just lost my whole install? Would replacing my SSD with the original hard drive do me any good here?
I'm out of ideas on this one, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks for your answers in advance

    I feel so stupid now

I was hammering the delete button for BIOS, just like on my Desktop.

Forgot about the fact, that different manufacturers, have different buttons Smiley Happy

A switch to legacy boot mode did the trick for me Smiley Happy

Thank you for your answer, and Kudos is on it's way Smiley Very Happy
