Acer 8943G - Broadcom 802.11n Network adapter can not be configured to work at 802.11n speed

I've just had a fibre optic conection installed that can download data at 75Mbps. I am unable to change the value in the 'bandwidth capability' parameter to 802.11n.

I have the latest drivers update installed (5.100.57.8)

When taking this up with support they were extremly unhelpful and kept telling me it's a software issue and I must call a software premium telephone number (0906 706 8000).

It would appear that this network adapter is not a true 802.11n device in it's current form.

There also other issues with this network card whereby it keeps disconnecting.

Can anyone help me here with how best to resolve this issue?

I'm going to assume that the unit is still running Windows 7.

Where are you seeing this value for "bandwidth capability" ?

Please describe the "other issues" that you are having with the wireless.

I have the same problem with my Aspire 5750z. Using msconfig I have norrowed the issue down to the Intel rapid storage technology service or the startup service intel common user interface, however i do not know where to go from here.
