Hi all,

I've recently bought a faulty S7 with the intention of fixing it and keeping it. It comes with no hard drive and i'm looking one to replace it. I think the original SSD that comes with it is the Lite-On CMT-256L3M or Lite-On LMT-128M3M (i can't remember the exact part numbers but they're the ones i'm looking at on ebay at the minute) but i want to know if other mSATA mini PCIe SSDs are compatible.

The main reason is that these ones i'm looking at are in China and i'll have to wait ages for delivery whereas if i ordered locally i'd have it by the end of the week.

Does anyone on here know if other drives are compatible?

Thanks!

Forgot to ask...just to confirm, if I was to use a different SSD than those listen would the S7 not recognize it?
  • Hello,

No, but I suggest you to compare the specifications of Seagate/Lite one with yours.
