I am concidering purchasing the Acer Iconia W700-6465 but one thing I noticed is that it does not have a memory card slot.  My question is if I use a USB memory card reader can I run a program from the memory card without copying it to internal memory if I am running out of memory?   Or use a thumb drive for the same purpose.

Thank you in advance

Yes you should be good to go Smiley Happy You can even run games from external memory Smiley Happy
I am going to get myself one of these for my w700 Smiley Happy

Its very small so it will be barely visible when you put it directly in the tablet Smiley Happy

It would be even better if that flash drive was USB 3.0.

I have a Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drive, which is fast alright but it "sticks out like a [sore] thumb".
