Driver Download for DX4320-02e? Or Acer update app?

I used to have a program from Acer on my machine when I had Windows 7 64bit Home Edition, I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and now I need drivers for my onboard audio card because the Microsoft ones it loaded wont let me adjust the volume for anything other then master, cannot even access any other volume controls. Now I need to get drivers for my Gateway DX4320-02e desktop. A few programs tried telling me it's a Aspire M3400 and another said it's a Veriton M430... The tower says Gateway and the bios screen says Acer, used to say Gateway though.. Never did change the Mainboard so I know it was updated by the update program, it had to be updated for Win 8.1 to work, but now it's all rebranded to Acer.

I can't find drivers for this board. Gateway or Acer all point me to DX4320 but not the 02e edition of the machine and the hardware is different, as the standard DX4320 is Intel, mine is AMD.

Google and Bing searches just take me to web sites and programs promising to find my updates for outragious amounts of money and the results they show are bogus.

Your system has a Realtek audio card, i suggest you to download from the Realtek website:

    http://218.210.127.131/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Hey man, thanks for that download, however Windows says those drivers are not compatible. I ran the installer like normal just in case and nothing happend except for an error saying no Realtek device found.

Yes, I know it is a Realtek audio card, but the software I think only detects PCI or PCI-E cards, not onboard.

It will detect also onboard sound cards, so i'm suspecting that's not a Realtek.

About Acer live updater, if you updated from Win7 to Win8.1, the application is still here, just search it.

from the Metro UI, digit Acer live updater

from desktop press Windows key logo+S adn type Acer live updater.

By the way, to find more infos on your system hardware i suggest you to run "msinfo32".

from Metro UI digit msinfo32 and press run

under Components, you will find hardware information

Yeah this was a clean install of Windows 8.1, there wasn't any bundled software such as an updater for acer or gateway like Win7 had. So I'm doing this all manually. I eventually got my driver, I had to download the 5x Realtek driver, not the 6x version. It's now working properly and now I'm just trying to get the acer update app I used to have on Win7 downloaded, google search yields no results for manual download and I've always had a hard time using search engines to find stuff these days due to all the adware using the same tags and trick links.

to be honest i don't know if Acer live updater can find updates for Windows 8.1 on your system, worth a try by the way.

Do you or anyone else have any idea where I can download it at? The one I had on Win7 worked fine and from what I know of Windows sense Vista is that they all use the same drivers as the system for it hasn't changed.

If Acer updater does not work, you might try the ASC (FREE) program an use the Drive Booster, (FREE) the FREE program alwasys ask for you to Activate, there is NO NEED unless you want... the FREE has a pretty good rep. ASC is IOBIT - Advanced System Care...

Thanks, program works great and now all my updates have been installed. Why I can't get them off the site is beyond me, but the app worked and now my updates are finished. The blue screen of death went away also. Huzzauh.
